I would like to wish everyone connected with the football club a very Happy Christmas & a prosperous New Year. I am looking forward to 2019 with a positive attitude for an enjoyable and rewarding 2nd half of the season both on and off the pitch.
I would sincerely like to thank our supporters for their backing throughout the season especially North West Arboriculture Services Limited (Woody) for the excellent maintenance of our ground season on season and Tebay Sports & Social Club who provide after match refreshment’s.
Lunesdale United has a great committee and I would sincerely like to thank each and every one of them. They do a wonderful job behind the scenes in running the club which is not an easy task and it certainly has its up’s and downs.
I would like to thank all our players both seasoned and new to the game/club. You are the future of this football club and your persistence and hard work will start to pay dividends.
I would also like to sincerely thank our Manager David Beecham & Assistant Manager John Wolstenholme who have had a little bit of a baptism of fire this season but are doing an excellent job.
An incredible amount of work has been done over the past two seasons (with quite a bit more to do) to improve the ground, a lot of which people don’t see, and I am extremely grateful to Phil Gilpin & Stephen Allen.
If anyone feels they can benefit the club in any way, big or small, please get in touch with us. Like all grassroots football clubs, the club faces many challenges in the years ahead.
Finally, I hope everyone has a very happy time over the festive period and here’s to an even bigger and better year ahead.
Yours in football
